EVERY husband dreams that his wife will be able to pleasure him better than a first-class prostitute doesn’t he? Let’s admit it to ourselves here. Isn’t there some song on the radio that says something like “a lady in the street and a freak in the bed”?
This is why I am so excited that the Obedient Wives Club has FINALLY spread its wings to Sarawak! Another ‘great’ export from Malaya. They must be so proud of this wonderful club of theirs which has managed to get Malaysia plenty of coverage overseas. Brilliant, absolutely brilliant!
Greeting me in the paper this morning was this brilliant gem of a headline: ‘Obedient Wives Club to hold soft launch’ … hmm … I won’t get crass on a lovely Saturday morning, so I will leave it at that.
Anyway, apparently they will be spreading their ‘obedient’ teachings tomorrow. The quote from the club’s national president is: “Most husbands who flirt and seek prostitutes outside come from unhappy marriages. Here we want to guide and teach wives how to treat their husbands better so that they will have a happy and healthy married life.”
Wonderful. And in this holy month too…
I don’t know about you, but marriage to me is about partnership. It means sharing my life with my beloved. It doesn’t mean having a prostitute at home to negate the need to trawl the streets for pleasure.
What kind of a society were this women born into? Why do they equate being a wife to being an unpaid sex worker? Why do they insist on bringing their brand of sexual depravity wrapped up in what looks like a sopan-santun package to our shores?
Oh for goodness sake! I am insulted for all Sarawakian women that this club claims to have 200 members in the state.
Please Sarawakian men. Treat Sarawakian women with the respect they deserve as wives, mothers, daughters, sisters, cousins, grandmothers, aunts, friends etc. Let’s not allow Sarawakian women to be turned into unpaid sex workers in the home.
May this club never have a hard launch … oh I mean official launch in this great state of ours.
